A little history about ...

This vineyard is located on an ancient island full of stories with the knights who followed King Saint Louis on his crusades in the Holy Land as protagonists.

In 1240, Louis IX became interested in this strategic position because of its access to the Mediterranean Sea, so he managed to fortify the city from which to continue expanding the royal territory.

It was at this time that wines began to be produced in this geographical area, where today and after many years, they are still produced under the name of Domaine Royal de Jarras.
