This edition is the second of the three that make up the Concept Series, a fusion of art, music, innovative cultures and the passion behind every bottle of whisky. It has been created exclusively for Global Travel Retail, concentrating on a single bottle of whisky and music. It has been matured in a blend of American oak barrels seasoned with sherry which gives it a smooth vanilla, citrus and caramel flavour. Subsequently, it has been matured in ex-Bourbon barrels, giving it a harmony of floral citrus and vanilla.

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

Vibrant golden colour, on the nose we detect aromas of vanilla, oak spices and blackberries, with touches of nutmeg, rose water and pistachio. Its finish is medium-sweet, with hints of toffee to finish.

Pairing. How to taste it

It is recommended to drink this whisky neat, or with ice, so that all its notes can be appreciated.

A little history about Macallan

The Macallan was founded in 1824 in Scotland by Alexander Reig, a school teacher and farmer. Each of Macallan's bottles is a reference to the company's expertise and commitment to mastering wood, which is why the brand is known as a permanent quest to find the extraordinary and create unique single malts. The reputation for seeking the extraordinary serves as a testament to the exceptional oak barrels for which Macallan is renowned, in which this excellent whisky is left to mature.

The whole process is carried out under the careful supervision of the Master of Wood so that they meet the specifications of the brand's Master Distillery and its team. The quality of each drop of Macallan lies largely in the choice of a suitable barrel, the whisky ages in these for the time necessary to obtain the desired ageing, which is why we chose oak barrels, as they are a fundamental part of giving it the quality, style and aromas that make this Scottish whiksy unique.
