Why buy Discontinued Cava and Champagne Agustí Torelló Mata Brut Reserva

A cava whose varieties have been vinified separately for about a month at 16°C with their yeasts. After that, it was aged for three years in the bottle at a constant temperature of 17ºC.

As for the 2017 vintage, it was a year marked by a lack of rainfall, so the harvest was smaller, but the grapes have a higher concentration of sugar and the resulting liquid is more aromatic and fruity.

Agustí Torelló Mata is a man devoted to cava since he opened the first wine analysis laboratory at the age of 18. This led him and his wife Carmen Sibill Cardús to produce the first 500 bottles of cava in 1955.

Today, with an annual production of 500,000 bottles of cava and 150,000 bottles of wine, it is present in more than 30 different countries, all under the management of Agustí's two children, Álex and Gemma.
