The starting point for this delicious creation is whisky aged in Bourbon barrels, European oak and Californian red winecasks that add layers of sweetness, spice and citrus notes that lend quality and consistency to create a smooth, luscious and sophisticated single malt.

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

When poured, a glass of Glenfiddich Select Cask releases floral aromas with notes of vanilla and oak that are delicious and luxurious, with plenty of complexity. On the palate, the whisky is full-flavoured with a luscious hint of caramel and grassy notes that give way to hints of pepper and dark molasses for a thick, honeyed, perfectly rounded mouthfeel. There are also hints of sherry, with cinnamon spice, dried fruit, candied peel and malted grains.
