Old St Andrews Whisky was founded in 1969 by Robert and Julian Haswell with the aim of bringing the two greatest gifts that Scotland has given to the world: whiskey and golf.

The first bottle came in a two-liter format, mounted on a leather golf cart, which was developed for the Japanese market.The first bottles shaped as a golf ball appeared in 1987 and were originally white. The clear glass clubhouse bottle did not appeared until 1993, since then has become the best selling product of the company.
