Why buy Vermuth Martini Rosso
Only three people know the recipe for one of the most prestigious vermouths in the world. A secret kept for over 100 years to give excellence to Martini Rosso, the first love of the Italian distilled spirits brand.
A secret blend of botanicals from native and European soils. This is the primary touch in making Martini Rosso. To this must be added a blend of two Italian wines, Trebbiano from Emilia Romagna and Catarratto from Sicily, which together give life to the base on which the vermouth is based, in addition to the aforementioned botanicals kept in the utmost secrecy. However, two of them have been shown to the public. We are talking about caramel and Artemisia, the latter being a key ingredient that is still harvested and cultivated near Martini's house in Pessione. All this "concoction" is responsible for the creation of Martini Rosso by means of a recipe that has remained unchanged since its creation in the mid-19th century.
Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste
The classic Martini bottle, elongated, transparent, with a red stopper and a slightly narrower body, is responsible for protecting the first creation of the Martini house from prying eyes. Once poured into a glass, Martini Rosso appears an intense reddish colour, containing the beauty of a sunset on the coast. Bitter aromas of selected herbs escape from the glass, which are laced with the sweetness of fine sugar. Finally, it is bittersweet on the palate, creating a unique feast of nuances for the senses.
How to taste it. Pairing
As for the best way to enjoy it, from Yo pongo el hielo we recommend the recipe Martini Rosso & Tonic: a balloon glass, four or five pieces of ice, 60 ml. of Rosso, one part of tonic, and the juice of a slice of orange. Enjoy! In addition to this recipe, Rosso can also be enjoyed on its own with a couple of ice cubes, or in cocktails to enhance its flavour and that of its companions. We recommend pairing it with savoury products, such as Italian mortadella or Parmesan cheese.
Martini Rosso is a fantastic Vermut of Premium class with an alcoholic volume of 15% from Italy, witut doubts, one of the greatest from the category Spirits.
A little history about Martini Rosso...
In the mid-1800s, two visionaries crossed paths and decided to join forces to delight the world with their ideas. Alessandro Martini, entrepreneur, and Luigi Rossi, craftsman, are the two protagonists of a beautiful story about vermouth. One with his entrepreneurial notions, the other with his flair for flavours, pursued the goal of launching a unique drink on the market that would bring unparalleled pleasure to the palate of consumers. Thus, in 1863, Martini Rosso was born, the first child of a fruitful relationship that over the years has grown the family through effort and quality in all its ingredients.
