It is called Pasos Largos in reference to the last bandit that existed in Spain, Juan José Mingolla, whose wanderings in the Serranía de Ronda are known and is better known as Pasos Largos, a nickname inherited from his father for his characteristic wanderings.
Cervezas Victoria has chosen this story because of the character and fascinating life of this bandit, in keeping with the identity given to the variety of beer with lemon. In addition, to make the packaging, they have used a real photo of the bandit Long Steps during his first arrest.
Since its launch, Victoria will offer its derivative "Pasos Largos" in the visits that are often organized to its factory.

A little bit of history about Victoria Pasos Largos...
The company Victoria, for manufacture of lager beer; it was founded by Luis Franquelo Carrasco on September 8, 1928, day of the Virgin of the Victory, in the district of the perchel of the city of Malaga. Its first factory had a daily production capacity of 15,000 liters distributed by Andalusia and Morocco, thanks to its 85 workers. In 1937 the advertising poster with "el gordo de la cerveza" became famous, a typical German tourist who wipes the sweat from his forehead while holding a panama hat and smiles sitting at a table with a large glass of beer with the slogan "Cerveza Victoria, Malagueña y exquisita", an image that became an icon of the city.
In the early 90's, the company was acquired by the Cruzcampo Group and in 1999, this Group was absorbed by Heineken International. However, in 2001 it was forced to get rid of some brands and in 2001 it was sold to the Damm Group.
From 2007 onwards, the sale of barrels and third party bottles was added to the supermarket trade, and in 2017 a new factory was opened in Malaga with more than 3,000 m2. It was in this factory where Victoria Pasos Largos beer came to life and from where it began to be sold.
