Why buy Red Wine Marques de Burgos 8000
The Marqués de Burgos 8000 wine defines the adventure of the winery in Ribera del Duero, an adventure of selection and handcrafted production that has resulted in a unique wine of great elegance and maturity, and a faithful reflection of the land in which its vineyards grow.
We are talking about a wine whose aging has lasted 16 months in French oak barrels and 12 months in the bottle. The clarification and filtration of the wine takes place over time by sedimentation and natural decanting.
The image of the bottle is a faithful reflection of the unique personality of this wine, a special label for this limited edition that presents a balloon flying through the sky in search of the best vineyard in the area. The intention is to emphasize the importance of the century-old vines that have been selected to make this wine.
Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste
The Marqués de Burgos 8000 has a very intense cherry color, almost opaque.
The aroma it gives off is very penetrating and complex. In this way, its aroma presents us with notes of red fruit with white flowers and aromas of violet typical of the variety used in its production.
In the mouth we speak of a red wine with sweet, mentholated and peppery touches. It is a wine with a natural elegance and with round and enveloping tannins perfectly integrated.
Pairing. How to taste it
This wine, fine, elegant, tasty and with great personality, accompanies exceptionally to meat carpaccio and spicy dishes, such as red meat particularly grilled.
A little bit of history about Marques de Burgos 8000...
This wine comes from only 8000 old vines located on the hillside of the Burgos town of Quintana del Pidio, at an altitude of 700 or 900 metres, where there are still plots with hundred-year-old vines under the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin.
These Tempranillo vines live in stony and not very fertile soils, and are subject to sudden temperature changes between night and day.
The harvest of this grape is done by hand at the optimum moment of ripeness, after which the grapes are chosen by hand on selection tables by cluster at the entrance to the winery.
During the next 10 days the alcoholic fermentation is carried out with daily punching down, and during the following 10 days the maceration process is carried out.
Once these steps have been carried out, the malolactic fermentation takes place in 13 new French oak barrels with a continuous stirring to achieve a greater rounding in the mouth, after which it is passed to other new French oak barrels.
It's in the Top 110 of economic and cheap products of Red Wine and in the Top 2050 of our best seller products.
