A challenging thought for those seeking an extra point of complexity. A semi crianza with a brief oak aging, powerful and with plenty of life ahead. Ideal if you want to be trendy.

This winery has its origin in the inheritance received by Josefina Martin Berdugo in 1990, which formed part of the estate of 104 hectares in which the firm resides today.; in view of the momentum of wines from Ribera decided at that time to plant the estate with vineyards and in 2000 wine production was undertaken. The winery is newly built, fully equipped and sized to transform all available grapes according to the new demand.

Currently in production are a total of 84 Ha. Vineyards, all of the tinto fino variety and located in the immediate surroundings of the winery.

It is the youngest wine of the innovative Bodega Martin Berdugo that combines modernity with tradition. This wine is a Tinta Fina (100%) varietal.

The alcoholic fermentation takes 12 days at 25ºC and 15-20 days malolactic fermentation in stainless steel.

Martín Berdugo Barrica 2012 was awarded with a Bacchus de Oro in the XII INTERNATIONAL WINE COMPETITION BACCHUS 2014, awarded by the Unión Española de Catadores.

Color: Dark garnet with violet and purple hues. Layer half high.

Nose: A frank and intense wine, which emerge nuances of blackberry and licorice, roasted hints, aromas of fresh fruit and vanilla notes.

Palate: The palate is velvety, wide, with fine tannins, well integrated with fruit and subtle hints of toasted oak.

This wine has undergone a 4-month aging in barrels of French and American oak.
