Why buy Cava Freixenet Cordon Negro Gran Selección Brut

Freixenet Cordon Negro Gran Selección Brut is a light cava appreciated for its great freshness that makes it very modern, formed by a coupage with the three traditional varieties of the Penedès region.

A very fruity sparkling wine due to the fermentation process that retains a large part of the aromatic fraction.

Freixenet Cordon Negro Gran Selección Brut is made under controlled fermentation at 12 ºC and aged for no less than 18 months in the bottle.

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

Sight: Pale yellow colour with greenish tones, bright. Abundant, fine and persistent bubbles, very integrated, good release of carbon dioxide forming a good crown.

Nose: Fine and delicate aromas, predominantly green fruit tones, light hints of ripe tropical fruit, citrus and fresh herbs background, very well harmonised with aromas of medium ageing.

Palate: Fresh in the mouth, good behaviour of the carbonic, wide in flavours appearing again the notes of green fruit and citrus. Light, with a clean and elegant aftertaste.

Pairing. How to taste it

Freixenet Cordon Negro Gran Selección Brut is a cava that is perfect to enjoy as an aperitif, but also to accompany dishes with blue fish, caviar, eggs and sushi.

A little bit of history about Freixenet Cordon Negro Gran Selección Brut...

Freixenet's vineyards are planted to take advantage of the full range of terroir and climate in the Penedès region of Catalonia, the area where most of Spain's cavas are produced. From the dry, cold mountains of the north, to the warm, wet, coastal areas of the south, our vineyards bear the fruit of many varieties of Vitis vinifera. In addition to cultivating its own vineyards, Freixenet also maintains exclusive relationships with the region's winegrowers.

It's in the Top 10 of economic and cheap products of Cava and in the Top 750 of our best seller products.
