The Jose Cuervo tequila brand from the Cuervo family, with Mexican origins (the birthplace of tequila), was born in 1975. This brand has given us the tequila José Cuervo Tradicional Reposado, a very special tequila.
In the old days it was said that tequila came from the gods and when I tasted it, I understood the reason for this belief, but I am going to tell you where it really comes from.
As I mentioned before, its origin is Mexican, made from the cultivation of the blue agave. This plant is the true origin, and the fact is that, once it is ripe, the jimadores harvest it, removing its leaves and cutting it into pieces to bake it. So far, in summary, it would be like any other tequila, but José Cuervo Tradicional Reposado is special, since this tequila is rested and matured in white oak barrels.
