Why buy Gin Carmela Gin

A gin made from guava and mango, made in Spain in the idyllic Canary Islands, which makes everyone who tries it fall in love with its perfect combination of freshness, fruity flavour and novelty.

Carmela Gin is the queen of gins in a universe full of rums. The Canary Islands distillery founded in 1940 by Felipe Quintana Domínguez is the creator of this drink, which is only a few months old and has already carved out a niche for itself among the premium varieties of gin.

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

This elixir from the Canary Islands is kept in a short-necked, secret-free container with a generous body that gives off an orangey glow that instantly catches the eye of the consumer. After releasing the bottle from its stopper, a torrent of exotic fruit aromas conquer the air, led by guava and mango, key components in the production of Carmela Gin. Finally, on the palate there is a fruity dance that reaffirms the intense scent given off by Licores Artemi's premium gin.

Pairing. How to taste it

Due to its fruity character, Carmela Gin differs from other gins when it comes to tasting. The presence of guava and mango, mainly, makes lime and lemon soft drinks the perfect accompaniment when sipping it in a glass with citrus peel. However, Carmela Gin also accepts the presence of a tonic if the occasion calls for it.

A little bit of history about Carmela Gin...

It was 1940 when Felipe Quintana Domínguez decided to embark on a rum adventure. Quintana, through a particular recipe, created Pájaro Canario rum, later Ron Artemi, and founded the Licores Artemi distillery, placing himself at the head of the companies dedicated to this sector in the Canary Islands, a position he has not ceased to occupy in his more than 70 years of life.

Licores Artemi also has modern, state-of-the-art facilities in the Salinetas Industrial Estate in Telde, Gran Canaria, which it has occupied since 2003.
