Why buy Other Beers Chimay Triple White
There are few beers that can reflect on their seal that they are Trappist, and one of them is the one we are concerned with, Chimay Triple Blanca, a great example of the quality of these beers.
Trappist Beer: Beer brewed inside the walls of a Trappist monastery, under the control of the community of the monastery belonging to the Cistercian Order of Strict Observance, better known as the Trappist Order.
The monks of Scormout are responsible for the elaboration of the Chimay beer, which began its journey due to the difficulties to survive of the own monastic community only with the fruits of the field. And among this catalogue of Trappist beers, Chimay Triple Blanca is the last to reach the market. Available in four formats (33 cl., 75 cl., 150 cl. or tap), the abbey beer "undergoes" a first high fermentation, then undergoes a second and final fermentation in the bottle itself. Several types of malt are involved, including Plaisant, Scarlet and Prisma, as well as various varieties of hops, the German Hallertau and the American Yakima.
Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste
As we said before, there are four formats in which you can taste Triple White Chimay, although the most common is the 33 cl. with the chubby shape of bottle that characterizes Chimay. Once uncovered and poured into a glass, it shows a blonde, limpid appearance, with a fine foam, of low persistence. Sweet, full-bodied aromas escape from the glass, reminiscent of the hops used in the recipe. Finally, in the mouth it is bittersweet, with touches of flowers and fruits and a large presence of hops.
Marriage. How to taste it
As for the best way to taste it, from Yo pongo el hielo we recommend to do it in a wide glass, that lets move freely the shades of Chimay, and at the same time to a refreshing temperature of between 6 and 8 degrees. With respect to its best accompaniment, it goes well with white meats, sausages, pastas and baked fish, as well as with soft cheeses.
Cheeses and beers to subsist
It was 1862 when life in the abbey of Scormount, located in the Belgian municipality of Chimay, was complicated. Farming was not enough to survive, and the monks urgently needed new income to maintain their way of life. Together, after expressing their different opinions, they came to a conclusion: they would begin to brew beer for sale and thus earn enough money not to go through calamities. The name of this elixir: Chimay.
What began as a small emergency exit became over time one of the best valued beers not only in Belgium, but of all lovers of beer, which also joined the development of artisan cheeses thus offering consumers two delicacies made with great care and love.
It's in the Top 30 of economic and cheap products of Other Beers and in the Top 260 of our best seller products.
