Why buy Discontinued Wine 19 Crimes Hard Chard

Bold, brave, with character, as if the essence of a woman had been turned into a Chardonnay grape and then squeezed, fermented, matured and bottled into an exquisite Australian Tempranillo. This is 19 Crimes Hard Chard.

The white wine of the 19 Crimes brand is one of the workhorses of the global wine giant Treasury Wine Estates, based in Melbourne (Australia). Aged in 100% American oak barrels, it brings together the best virtues of those brave women who were deported from the UK to Australia accused of one of the 19 Crimes imposed in the face of overcrowding in British prisons. One of these protagonists was Jane Castings, a domestic servant, married with four children, who committed the "crime" of receiving cheese and bacon knowing that they had been stolen.

Tasting notes. Sight, smell and taste

A classic burgundy bottle, the usual hostess of Chardonnay-type wines, is responsible for ensuring the good use of the 19 Crimes white wine. With the image of Jane Castings and the motif of her deportation presiding over the label, 19 Crimes Hard Chard shows a pale yellow colour, spreading aromas of stone fruits and sweet textures around the room. On the palate, it displays notes of toasted oak, the fruit of its maturation in barrels, along with hints of caramel, honey and ripe fruit, finishing with hints of butter and vanilla.

How to taste it. Pairing

As for the best way to enjoy it, at Yo pongo el hielo we recommend drinking it at a temperature of between 4 and 5 degrees, ideal for appreciating its notes and refreshing flavour. 19 Crimes Hard Chard goes perfectly with pâtés and cheeses, as well as with recipes where fish plays an important role.

A trip to the 18th century...

In addition to the quality of its wines, 19 Crimes presents an option that none of its competitors offers: a trip back in time. No, we are not pulling anyone's leg. The labels of the range of Australian wines come to life on the screen of smartphones and tablets thanks to augmented reality. In this way, all the protagonists of each range narrate to the 21st century citizen their hardships, their experiences and the crimes that led them to be deported to an undiscovered world.

In addition, the corks of 19 Crimes are also special. 19 corks are the ones that inhabit all the bottles, each one of them personalised with the number and description of the crime. Are you ready to collect them? 19 Crimes Hard Chard is a fantastic Premium Australian White Wine with an alcoholic strength of 13.5% from Australia, undoubtedly one of the best in the category of Wines.
