Diplomatico Reserva 8 Años, is one of the most awarded rums in the world. It is produced in Venezuela by distilleries Unidas SA (DUSA) and consistently ranks among the best rums from South America. With a total of seven stills, the distillery has been producing high quality spirits for over 45 years and has achieved significant global success.

Just out of the bottle first thing you perceive is a peach aroma and some notes of softwood, probably from the barrels in which it was aged. Some notes of spices are also appreciated, probably vanilla and cinnamon.

The first thing that comes to your mouth is a sweet toffee flavor, it's an amazing feeling in the mouth that covers the top. Once the candy  flavor disappears some chocolate and citric notes can de appreciated toward the back of the mouth. It offers some nice complexities to round everything else.
