A wide, Franconia-style bottle is the container chosen by the Barceló house to protect what is its most precious asset. Made of transparent glass, it reveals the brilliant coppery amber colour of Barceló Imperial. Once the bottle is uncorked, aromas of butter cream, dried cherries, pineapple marmalade and caramelised walnuts escape from the nose. On the palate it is smooth but fruity on entry, with exuberant body, great depth and balance, ending in a delicious carrot cake ice cream, coca nut, mocha and a strong toasted flavour that clears up as the minutes go by.

In 1930, a young Spanish entrepreneur crossed the Atlantic Ocean to fulfil his dream of creating the best rum in the world. The Mallorcan Julián Barceló founded the company Barceló & Co in Santo Domingo, created his first products and toured the country promoting them. Twenty years later, and with the experience acquired, he launched the Ron Barceló brand on the market with its Blanco and Dorado varieties, and laid the foundations to fulfil a dream that, without a doubt, has been more than achieved.
